Episode 33: Tiebreak
This is one of the episodes that I really don't want to watch over and over again. Much less, have a summary of it. But... being a fangirl that I am, I'd not be shrinking on my duties. :) So, back to Kikumaru being revitalized. Mizuki is now getting much annoyed since it's already match-point for St. Rudolph, yet they couldn't get it. Oishi and Eiji played beautifully and finally stole the matchpoint away from St. Rudolph's. It's now tied to 6-6. They would now be going to a tie-break. A tiebreak is composed of 12 points. The first team to get 7 points wins. The service is also alternated between the teams to get things fair. Oishi was the first one to serve, therefore, it means that the Golden Pair would be using their Australian Formation.
Things are really looking up to Seigaku's Golden Pair when they stole 3 points away from St. Rudolph. Kaneda looked like he was about to lose hope, cry, keel and die, but his Doubles partner and captain, Akazawa walked up to him and cheered him to do their best and that it's not over yet. Indeed it wasn't over for them yet, since when Akazawa accidentally lobbed the ball to Kikumaru, Kikumaru failed to return the ball since he's fast losing his stamina once again due to the intense heat of the afternoon. Needless to say, they won straight 7 points against the Golden Pair. The first years were really saddened by the fact that their Golden Pair lost.
Meanwhile, as Fuji Yuuta was practicing/warming up, a team member of his came up to him and told him that the score is 1-1. Yuuta was surprised since Mizuki's simulation failed for the first time. As he walked on the path towards their court, his own brother, Fuji Syusuke appeared standing ahead on his way. Yuuta's team member (I really forgot his name) commented that, it was his older brother! (duh) which angered Yuuta and scared the hell out of him and making him turn tail and ran away leaving Yuuta with his brother. Syusuke commented that he really wanted to play Yuuta. This annoyed the hell out of Yuuta and proclaimed that even if he wasn't playing him, he'll (Yuuta) be satisfied since he'll have fun in defeating the first year who stole Inui's position as a regular, at this, he turned and walked off. But before he could walk out of hearing distance, Syusuke told his brother that their first year wouldn't lose easily, Yuuta just replied that he wouldn't know until he tried.
Back to Ryoma, he's been warming up for a while. Sakuno walked up to him ad told him the results and that Golden Pair lost. Ryoma looked unsurprised.. but we wouldn't know since his facial expression's unchanged. Anyway, after a while, he stopped his warm up and looked to the heavens where there were flashes of some real strong opponents he fought with and will fight with in the near future.
The last scene of this episode is at the court where Singles 3 is about to start.
